Here's a new one. Anyone know how to get a hawk out of the indoor arena. He's been in there for three days now. Yes we have a door open. Some of the horses could care less and some are freaked out. |

Wil animal control come out? Of course, you could put a mouse on the end of a fishing pole, cast into the arena and slowly reel the mouse in, hoping the hawk will take the bait. LOL |

I have had this problem a few times - my indoor arena is on a major migration route for raptors. You want someone who can deal with raptors, a friend who is a birder (bird watcher) gave me a name. They came out with the right equipment and netted and removed 3 hawks, 1 falcon and 1 eagle over the years. Not a single one of those birds found its own way out but you might be luckier than I was. |

AC excellent advice! I second the raptor expert. Many areas have "raptor center" type rehabs, who you could call if you found an injured hawk etc. |
